Photograph and negative storage system - uses envelopes with two compartments and placed in rectangular box with lift off lid

Photographs and negatives are stored in envelopes (3) with two compartments, one for photographs and one for the corresponding negatives. The envelopes (3) are stored side by side in a rectangular box (1) with a one side (4) raised. A lid (2) fits over the box and is supported by the upper edge (6) of the raised side. The lower edge of the lid (2) is partly cut away at one end to facilitate gripping the lower part of the box in order to remove the lid. With this method of storage the photographs are more readily accessible than when they are placed in an album.
