<p>The fireproof door is fitted with a device which in case of fire produces a cooling effect and herby achieves the required hours of fire resistance. The door leaf (4) is fitted in frame (1) and has skins (5, 6) at a distance from each other with gap closed by circumferential strip (7). The gap is filled with a fire-resistant material (9) which usually consists of a fluid-absorbent fluid. On the upper and lower part of the gap fluid filled containers (10) are fitted. They are designed in such a way that at a certain temp. they open up and discharge their fluid content into the gap where it is absorbed by the porous fillint (9) and subsequently evaporates producing a cooling effect which extends the time of fire resistance of the door.</p> |
