<p>The process applies a protective coating to workpieces such as containers moved by a conveyor to a dip tank, and lowered into it. During coating, the workpiece (1) is rotated about one of its axis and is dipped into the material (19) up to this axis only. The rotary movement is superimposed on a translatory movement in direction of the axis, or at right angles to it. The section of the workpiece projecting from the dipping material, encloses an angle with that material, this angle changing with the rotary movement. Larger or smaller angles have a smaller or larger associated angular movement.</p> |
