An applicator for applying cream to a person's lips including a container for the cream having a rigid rear portion or barrel 12 and a pliant, elastic squeezable forward portion 14 supported within the barrel and adapted to be grasped by and squeezed between the thumb and forefinger. A one-way follower piston 40 in the barrel is disposed behind and engages the cream in the container and sealingly engages the wall of the barrel, the one-way follower gripping the barrel wall to prevent it from moving rearwardly in the container while the forward portion is being squeezed to feed cream to the pad 28 release of the squeezing force allowing the forward portion to re-expand and create sub- atmospheric pressure in the container, enabling the ambient air pressure behind the follower piston to shift it toward the applicator pad. <IMAGE> |
