PURPOSE:To provide the title catalyst with superior adherence and wear resistance to dust by supporting a catalyst component-contg. slurry on the surface stainless steel followed by drying or calcination. CONSTITUTION:The surface of stainless steel of a desired shape is coated with a slurry obtd. by uniformly mixing raw powder of porous refractories such as titania or alumina used as a carrier and an aq. soln. of a salt or acid of metal having catalytic action in an arbitrary ratio. The size of the powder is pref. 5-100mu Rmax. The catalyst metal includes iron, Cr, copper, V and W as denitration catalyst, and an aq. soln. of their sulfates or the like is used. The above coated steel is then dried or calcined to obtain a catalyst for making NOx and NH3 in gas harmless. |
