<p>PURPOSE:To raise the velocity of digestion of organic sludge and make the digestion thorough, by advancing the digestion while washing the organic sludge. CONSTITUTION:The organic sludge S1 is supplied to an aerobic digestion vessel 1. Air A is blown into the vessel to effect the aerobic digestion of the sludge. A portion of the sludge being digested in extracted and conveyed to a mixing vessel 3 wherein the sludge portion is mixed with washing water W1. The mixture is introduced into a sedimentation vessel 2 wherein the sludge is sedimented. A portion S3 of the sedimented sludge from which substances which hinders the digestion are removed by washing is returned to the aerobic digestion vessel to advance the digestion.</p> |
