<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline secondary battery capable of achieving high energy density and improvement in short circuit resistance by increasing strength of a separator, while suppressing low the amount of blending of an aromatic polyamide fiber. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode 10 in the alkaline secondary battery has a positive electrode plate 11 and a negative electrode plate 12 arranged oppositely interposing a separator 13. The separator 13 has a double layer structure in which a main fiber non-woven fabric 131 that has nylon as a main fiber and does not contain aromatic polyamide fiber and an aromatic polyamide fiber non-woven fabric 132 are laminated in thickness direction. In the electrode 10, the main face 13b on the side of the aromatic polyamide fiber non-woven fabric 132 of the separator 13 is constituted to face the negative electrode plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
