<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing sorting simply without needing a special optional apparatus or setting a rotating paper sheet to a cassette. <P>SOLUTION: When a printing execution instruction is issued, and a 180°-rotation sorting is ON, it is determined whether or not the number of pages to be rotated by 180° is set. When the number of pages is not set, image data for the odd number page is printed without being rotated and the image data for the even number page is rotated 180° and printed (steps 101 to 106).
