The invention relates to a break pressure tank for use in a water supply system, the break pressure tank, in use, being located operatively downstream of a water supply reservoir between the reservoir and water supply points that are located at an elevation substantially below the elevation of the reservoir. The break pressure tank includes a float actuated operating mechanism that controls a control valve located in line with the water supply line from the reservoir to the supply points, the control valve controlling the water supply pressures at the supply points, providing for these pressures not to exceed predetermined levels. |
