PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating constitution of a hot water storage tank capable of keeping high temperature retaining performance with a simple constitution, and simultaneously ensuring structural strength. SOLUTION: This heat insulating constitution of the hot water storage tank comprises a plurality of foam insulation materials 7 (7-1 to 7-5) respectively disposed between each of a right plate 3, a left side plate 4 and a back plate 6 constituting an outer plate surrounding the hot water storage tank 1, and the hot water storage tank 1, and flat vacuum heat insulating materials 8 (8-1 to 8-3) are respectively inserted among the plurality of foam insulation materials 7, thus the high temperature retaining performance can be kept with the simple constitution, and simultaneously its structural strength can be ensured.
