PURPOSE:To enable one to operate the engine with less noise and less vibration by constructing the engine with a continuous self-ignition combustion on keeping the stable state of activated thermal atmosphere required for the self-ignition up to the last stage compression stroke of the engine. CONSTITUTION:The mixed gas supply port 13, air supply port 14 and exhaust port 19 are provided to the cylinder chamber 7 partitioned by the piston 6 which is inserted into the bore 5 of the engine case 1, the said ports 13, 14 are opened and closed by the first and second scavenging valves 15, 16. The mixed gas inhaled in the crank chamber 8 through the air cleaner 24 carburetor 25 and pipe 26 is supplied to the port 13 through the passage 20 and control valve 21, it is also fed to the port 14 through the air cleaner 31, scavenging air pump 33 and control valve 30, and respective control valves 21, 30 are controlled by the control device 22. |
