A vial or container 11 of the two- compartment type, for containing lyophilized medication in compartment 14 and a solvent in compartment 16 has a displaceable, moisture-proof plug 18 disposed between the two compartments. a closure structure 12 comprises a stopper 20 which is partially inserted into the neck 13 of the vial and is covered by a cap member 27 having a fastening portion 28, in gripping engagement with an annular side surface of the open end of the vial neck and a sleeve portion 32 of reduced diameter which snugly surrounds protruding portion 34 of the stopper and is disconnectible in frangible ridges 37 from portion 28 in order to move with the protruding stopper portion 34 into the neck of the bottle under manually applied pressure, Fig. 6 (not shown). A dust shield 36 is removably secured to the free end of the sleeve portion 32. The needle of a syringe can be inserted through the stopper to communicate with the interior of the vial.
