A cable communication financial service system using a cable communication network and a financial terminal capable of processing a financial business at home, and a method thereof are provided to prevent leakage of financial information of a user by processing the financial business at home. A financial service terminal(11) is connected to the cable network to transmit a signal including extracted financial information to the cable network. A cable communication modem(12) transmits a financial service result signal received from the outside to a cable communication financial service terminal. A VAN(Value Added Network) system server(13) transmits the financial service result signal received from a financial institution to the cable communication modem. A financial card company server(14) transmits the processed financial service result signal to the VAN system server.
