<p>A tilting drive arrangement for a converter comprises gearing within a gear housing arranged on a tilting trunnion of the machine and a torque-resisting support which is attached to the gear housing and to a fixed base, and n measuring device for measuring torsional moments generated in the gearing, the measuring device being arranged in the torque-resisting support between the base and the gear housing. Additionally, an interruption switch is provided and this interrupts the action of the tilting drive when the torsional moments exceeds a specified maximum value. The interruption switch is under control of the measuring device.</p> |
