<p>A remote control system for operating electrical loads, particularly in multi-unit lodging establishments such as motels, hotels, and the like, for reducing the peak power demand. The system is comprised of manually responsive means for selectively controlling the energization of a plurality of loads and means for determining the number of loads energized at a point in time. Means for comparing the number of loads energized at a point in time with a predetermined maximum is connected to the aforenoted determining means. Means responsive to the comparing means, is provided for preventing energization of the additional loads by the manually responsive means until the number of loads energized is less than the predetermined maximum number of loads.</p> |
