PURPOSE:To effectively dry ink through drum revolution after ending of printing and prevent ink stains of recording paper by keeping the rotation of a rotary drum during the specified time interval after ending of the printing operation. CONSTITUTION:When the head is reset to its home position upon ending of printing operation, the home position signal is inputted from terminal E to reset an RSFF circuit 20, by the Q output signal whereof and home position signal, an AND circuit 30 is operated. The output thereof is then inputted to the R terminal of the RSFF circuit 10 and a timer 40. Hence, the RSFF circuit 10 is reset and the Q output voltage thereof becomes of low level, by which the drum is stopped and at the same time the timer 40 is driven. The driving time of the timer 40 has been set at the time when the drum continues rotating owing to its inertia, e.g., T1 second, thus paper discharge operation takes place after the T1 second. In this way, the ink may be effectively dried by the drum rotation after the end of printing. |
