<p>PURPOSE:To perform handling for a paper jam and maintenance for internal members including a paper feed roller or the like in an easy manner by installing a resist base supporting a lower resist roller in a pair of resist rollers free of rotation. CONSTITUTION:An idler roller 40 getting over a projection 42 rotates as far as about 90 deg. as going along an incline at a tip of a push spring 41, and it stops on a base surface of a printer body. Simultaneously a resist base 19 so far engaged with the idler roller 40 is also released from its engagement and rotates in the same direction with a fulcrum shaft as the center, and stops on a lever unit 27. In addition, since a lower resist roller 13b is attached to the resist base 19 and an upper resist roller 13a is attached to a frame, an interval between both these resist rollers 13a, 13b is largely opened by rotation of the resist base 19, so that a sheet 12 causing a paper jam is dropped beneath.</p> |
