<p>The constructional block is for building walls, particularly for retaining earth. It is of V-section, extended by horizontal feet (2), so that a wall can be accurately built by fitting such blocks one on top of the other. The side faces of the feet form the visible faces of the wall, and can be rectangular, with chamfered edges. The apex of the V can be flattened to allow insertion of horizontal reinforcing bars, and vertical holes can also be provided for vertical bars. A V-shaped notch can be cut in it at one end in the transverse direction, to form a right-angled wall.</p> |
