PURPOSE:To increase surface area and prevnet the overlooking of display by forming multisegment display elements to one system and displaying change information and set information by the symbols formed through the combination thereof. CONSTITUTION:A display part 2 consists of two display elements 1 and display symbols such as characters, symbols, etc. which are formed through combination of dot segments 1a. When the preparation for copying is completed by truning ON a main switch 31, the display of the display part 2 changes from red to green and therefore if the number of copies is set by ten keys 32, the display of the display part 2 changes to the number indicating that number. If at this time it is desired to check the paper size, the switch 33 is turned ON. Then, the paper size appears in the display part 2 only while it is held pushed and the display returns to the original number when the switch is released. When the copying operation is started by operating selection switches 34a thru 34c according to the kinds of originals, the number of the display part 2 decreases 1 by 1. This makes it possible to increase the display area and prevent defect copying, apparatus damage, etc. owing to overlooking of the display. |
