PURPOSE:To control the shape of the sheet to a desired crown on purpose to manufacture the sheet with excellent accuracy of the shape, by horizontally bending either one or both of the work roll and the intermediate roll against the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The bearing 9 for the force of bending the work roll 1 is installed on the outside of the work roll chock 2; the length of cylinders 7 is adjusted for horizontally bending the work roll 1. Hereby, the auxiliary roll is freed from restraint, and the bending effect covers as far as the middle zone of the roll, so that the sheet with any of convex or concave crown can be rolled. Besides, the roll crown is made up by bending either one or both of the work roll and the intermediate roll horizontally. Moreover, the auxiliary rolls with short drum length are installed on the entry and exit sides of the work roll 1; and the work roll 1 is thrusted against the auxiliary roll and is horizontally bent for controlling the shape of the sheet. |
