<p>A mixt. of powdered quicklime (I) and a solid additive, e.g. CaSo4 is added to the salt soln. Pref. (I) of particle size of up to 2mm. is mixed with is not 10-15 wt.% of CaSO4. The two components of the mixt. are pref. of similar size. The mixt. may be added as such or as a suspension in an aq. soln., e.g. m ilk of lime. The process increases the reactivity of the impurities reduces the loss of lime entrained in the pptes. produced and improves the filterability of the sludges.</p> |
