The non-inductive electronic switch and shunt arrangement is for transient currents occuring at switch break esp. for engine electronic ignition circuits. The transistor is protected by a non-linear fast acting zener diode, clipping diode or silicon carbide element. A resistor is positioned in the lead from the transistor base to the corresponding coil terminal or the wire itself may have the required resistance value.
