<p>A continuous process is disclosed for separating components of a hydrocarbon gas stream selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, ethylene, ethane, higher saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, and mixtures thereof by countercurrently contacting (12) the hydrocarbon gas stream with a physical solvent (17) to produce an overhead stream (13) which is rich in at least one of the components and a rich solvent bottoms stream (15) which is rich in another of the components, and thereafter recovering the solvent bottoms stream (25) and recycling (27) it to the contacting step (12).</p> |
