Novel phenoxyacetic acid derivatives of the formula in which R represents hydroxyl, alkoxy which is optionally substituted by alkoxy, alkylthio, carbalkoxy, phenylmethylaminocarbonyl and/or halogen, amino, hydrazino, or alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkenylamino, arylamino or N-aryl-N-alkylamino which are optionally substituted by alkoxy or dialkylamino, where the aryl radical can in each case be substituted by alkyl, alkoxy, carbalkoxy, halogen and/or nitro, and further represents a saturated heterocyclic ring having 5 or 6 ring members, which is optionally substituted by alkyl and bonded via nitrogen, or the radical of the formula a plurality of processes for their preparation and the use of these novel phenoxyacetic acid derivatives as herbicides.
