PURPOSE:To omit the lamp display part and thus to simplify the display part of the terminal unit in the display system of the plasma dispaly panel PDP and like by sharing the message display area with the mode display area in the PDP main body. CONSTITUTION:The display unit consists of operation guidance display area 21 to perform the data display, message display area 22 to display various types of messages, mode display area 22' to display one of the various types of modes, and mode-based imprint part 14 where the types of modes are imprinted in opposition to area 22'. Thus, the display light emission is given at the fixed mode position recorded at part 14 within area 22', and area 22 and 22' are used in common. And in case the light emission of the message characters overlaps the light emission of the mode display, the message character is given the negative luminous display for identification. |
