PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a letterpress printing method capable of performing printing stably for a long time by increasing an ink dry coating thickness with respect to a printed article to a level suited for spot printing or whole surface printing by a simple method.SOLUTION: The printing method for applying ink to a plate cylinder roll to which a photosensitive resin letterpress has been fitted by an ink-applied rubber roll by using one of a rotary printing machine, an intermittent rotary printing machine, and a letterpress half rotary printing machine, and transferring the ink from the photosensitive resin letterpress on the ink-applied plate cylinder roll to the printed article to print ink on the surface of the printed article with a dry coating thickness of 10 to 30 μm is characterized in that the whole ink-applied surface of the ink-applied rubber roll is made rough, the average groove depth of the ink-applied surface is 25 to 100 μm, the surface roughness of the ink-applied surface in a mechanical direction is 15 to 50 μm, and the Shore A hardness of the ink-applied surface is 10 to 40 degree.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
