PURPOSE:To miniaturize automatic developing apparatus, reduce the cost, and decrease the number of check points, by processing the picture image forming material using photosensitive resin composition, after exposure and development, with an organic solvent which can be mixed with water or a mixture solution of said organic solvent and water. CONSTITUTION:Preferably a photo polymerizing photosensitive resin composition layer is provided on a proper supporting body by a thickness of about 0.5 to 10 mum. This picture image forming material is, after being exposed, developed in an alkaline aqueous solution. After being washed in water or not, the picture image forming material is processed with an organic solvent which may be mixed with water, or a mixture solution mixed with this organic solvent preferably 0.5 to 7 volume parts of this organic solvent for 100 volume parts of water. Thus, it is not necessary to rub out the non-picture image parts of the photosensitive resin composition layer to be removed by means of brush or sponge in the developing or washing process. |
