Mixer tap in which the outlet flowrate and the hot and cold water mixing ratios are controlled by a fixed plate made of a hard material (1) and by a plate made in the hard material (4) which can move with respect to the fixed plate and is in contact with it along a flat surface; the plates are traversed by inlet openings (2, 5) for the hot and cold water and by an outlet aperture (3, 6) for the mixed water, and the movable plate (4) is coupled in a leak-tight manner with a control head (8) provided with a cavity (9) which connects the inlet opening (5) and the outlet aperture (6). The outlet aperture (6) of the movable plate (4) is shaped and arranged in such a way that it is at least partially shut off by the adjacent plate (1) during the closure movement, in advance of the closure of the inlet openings (2, 5) for the hot and cold water. These arrangements mean that adjustment of the flow and of the mixing ratio are not interdependent. <IMAGE>
