<p>Finishing filter consists of a vertical tubular enclosure contg. an annular chamber open at its lower part and closed at its upper part and a central chamber closed at its lower part and open at its upper part. The annular and central chambers communicate by means of separator elements contg. baffled passages. The gas enters the annular chamber at the lower part of the appts., passes through the separator elements into the annular chamber, then leaves the latter at the upper part of the appts. Each separator element is pref. constituted of vertical parallel sheets sepd. slightly from one another and having vertical folds and the filter contains several separator elements regularly distributed connected by solid walls. The filter pref. incorporates a water feed pipe at its upper part with atomising jets above each separator element, for cleaning. The filter allows a gaseous fluid, partic. air, which has been purified by means of a wet-way filter, to be dried and freed from residual dust particles, however fine.</p> |
