<p>The device protects insulator stems from coating by particles deposited on them and notably of electrically conductive material, being particularly for the stems of sprayer heads used in painting booths. It consists of a porous sleeve (4) mounted coaxially to the stem (5), and through which there passes in the axial direction the conductor between the high-tension supply and the head. The intervening annular space is closed at one end by the head (3) and at the other by a sealing insulation plate (2) with mounting. Pipes passing through the plate supply the paint etc., a fluidisation agent for the latter, and propellant air. A compressed air inlet passage is between the sleeve and the stem.</p> |
