PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a transmission line by compressing variation in temperature by using a distance equalizer and by making an error, against variation in line length, equivalent to the variation in temperature at one point by detecting the temperature of a cable. CONSTITUTION:A signal having passed through input terminal 1 and telegraph unit 2 is sent out to a line and then supplied to variable equalizer 9 of repeater 8, where a loss due to the line length is made euqivalent to make the variation in temperature equivalent coarsely. A signal including an error caused by making the temperature variation equivalent by using a distance equalizer is inputted to variable equalizer 9 of receiver 11, where variation due to the cable length is made equivalent to make the temperature variation equivalent coarsely in the same way as repeater 8 and also to make the error equivalent finally by using error equalizer 10. The error equalizer, on the other hand, is driven corresponding to the cable temperature detected by cable temperature detector 12. |
