AZO PIGMENTS

Azo pigments having the formula (I) (II) wherein X represents hydrogen or halogen atom; n represents an integer of 1 to 4; R1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group; R2 represents a moiety of a coupling component which has one coupling site and R3 represents a moiety of a coupling component which has two coupling sites. The azo pigments can be produced by coupling a coupling component with a diazonium compound of an aromatic amine having the formula (III) wherein X, n and R1 are defined above.
