Compsns. contg. a substd. imidazoline (I), or its salts are new: (where R1 is 1-4C alkyl or 2-4C alkenyl, either of which may be attached to the phenyl ring directly or through O or S or it is halogen or R1 and R2 form a 3-5C alkylene chain on neighbouring positions, opt through O or S or R2 and R3 are H, 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl, which may be attached through O or S, halogen or CF3, R4 is H, 1-6C alkyl or 2-6C alkenyl, R5 is H, 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl or 1-6C alkanoyl and X is O or S). Used for treatment of ectoparasites, esp. ticks, mites and lice. A typical product is 2-(2,3-dimethylphenoxy methyl) imidazoline. |
