The curved conveyor section 2 of a scraper-chain conveyor comprises a curved radially inner wall 5, a curved radially outer wall 6 and a floor panel 7 which define upper and lower runs for a scraper assembly constituted by a chain and a plurality of scrapers secured thereto. The inner wall 5 is provided with upper and lower apertures through which extend the circumferential edges of upper and lower pulley wheels 8 and 9 which engage the scrapers to guide the scraper assembly round the curved conveyor section. A respective guide 22 is provided at each end of each aperture in the inner wall for guiding the scrapers 16 onto, and away from, the circumferential edges of the pulley wheels 8 and 9. For ease of maintenance, each guide 22 is detachably held against the radially inner face 23 of the inner wall 5 so that part of that guide extends into the respective aperture. <IMAGE> |
