The plastics cushioning element is designed for use in the packing of delicate articles, e.g. fruit. It may be inserted between layers of fruit to prevent bruising by mutual contact. The element may consist of two rectangular pieces of plastics material(1) connected together at three edges. The fourth edge(5) is not connected and may open so that the element may also be used as a bag. A slit (4) is cut in the rectangular piece so that it may be opened up and used as a handle for the bag. The rectangular pieces are made of thermoplastic material contg. bubbles of air which act as shock absorbers. |
