Disclosed is a method for processing a global key of a smart television. In the method, a system side intercepts a detected remote key event; when it is determined that the remote key event needs to be sent to an application in the form of broadcast, the system side generates a broadcast message according to the remote key event, and broadcasts the broadcast message; and an application preregistering broadcast in an application side receives the broadcast message, and performs, when the application receiving the broadcast message determines that global key processing is needed, global key processing according to the remote key event in the broadcast message. Further disclosed is a system for processing a global key of a smart television. The present invention can realize the function of processing a global key in any application. |
