The present invention relates to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method, device and system for streaming media transmission, which can solve the problem that a preconfigured transmission protocol for transmitting streaming media data between a network side server and a terminal is unsuitable for being applied in a network currently connected to the terminal, and thus the transmission efficiency of the streaming media data is lowered, the quality of watching a media program through the terminal by a user is poor, and the user cannot normally watch the media program. The method of the present invention comprises: acquiring information of at least two types of streaming media transmission protocols contained in streaming media information corresponding to a media program; acquiring information of a network connection type of a terminal; according to the information of the network connection type, determining a first transmission protocol corresponding to the network connection type from the at least two types of streaming media transmission protocols; sending a playing request of the media program to a streaming server; and playing the media program sent by the streaming server through the first transmission protocol. The present invention is applicable to a streaming media service system. |
