<p>PURPOSE:To continually realize safe starting, by taking off a mechanical system brake gear automatically acting during the stop of a car by detecting the settlement of the starting accelerating force of the car, in an electric rolling stock provided with said mechanical system brake gear. CONSTITUTION:When power travelling commands are delivered to a drive command device 9 as braking commands that prevent rolling by means of a brake controller 7 remain as they are delivered to a mechanical brake gear 8 in order to start a car stopping on an up-grade, a motor current controller 3 closes a main circuit contactor 2 while motor current rise control is started. Meanwhile, when a current detector 10 detects the generation of positive accelerating force more than negative accelerating force due to the gradient by means of a motor 4, rolling preventive brake taking-off commands are applied to the brake controller 7, thus actuating the mechanical system brake gear 8, then taking off a brake, provided that the car is forwarded.</p> |
