NEW MATERIAL:N'-3-phenethyloxyphenyl-N-methylurea derivative of formula I(X's are same or different lower alkyl, lower alkoxys, halogens; n is integral numer of 0-2; R is H, methyl, methoxy). EXAMPLE:N'-3-[2-(3-methoxypheyl)ethoxy]phenyl-N-methoxy-N-methylurea. USE:These compounds have strong herbicide effect on a variety of weeds by the inhibition of photosynthesis, being less harmful against man and animals, especially having high selectivity for rice plant, soybean and wheat. PREPARATION:The compound of formulaIis prepared by reaction of 3- phenethyl-oxyphenylisocyanate derivative of formula II with N,0-dimethylhy- droxylamine, dimethylamine or monomethylamine. |
