VIDEO QUANTIZATION CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To secure an accurate measurement of the pulse duration even in case the video signal is stretched by the amplifier of the front step. CONSTITUTION:When video signal 1 stretched by the amplifier of the front step is supplied to slicer circuit 2 featuring the slice levels of n-steps, selector circuit 3 selects the output of slicer circuit 2 of the m-ordered step designated by slicer control circuit 4. The selected quantization video signal 5 is delivered to video differential circuit 6. Circuit 6 catches the rise of signal 5 and then delivers it to correcting quantization video circuit 11 in the form of rise end video signal 7. Peak level storage circuit 8 stores video signal 5 only when it exists and detects the peak level. And level comparator circuit 9 compares the peak level result with the output signal of circuit 2 and applies output 10 to circuit 11 when the output of circuit 2 is less than the fixed level.
