Coupling for windscreen wiper - incorporates C=shaped grip and securing head with flats

The wiper blade is clipped to the end of the wiper arm by a simple bayonet type of coupling in which the end of the wiper arm is fitted with an elastic sleeve (42) surrounding a shaped stub (44) with flats (50) and a waisted shaft. The wiper assembly is fitted with a C-shaped clip (12) which slots into the sleeve and over the flats to secure on the waisted section. The blade is located over the coupling and secured by a simple twist action. No special fittin tools are required and a secure seating is assured.
