The treatment device esp. for lawn surfaces, consists of a support beam, which can be in the form of a cutter beam. It is fitted to lawn mowers with vertical motor shafts. The support beam has holders for fitting special working implements. The working implements are held in catch bars or on stops (17) which can pivot into a rest position or into one or more working positions on the holders (18) of the support beam (19) which has a bore for the motor shaft. There are springs for fixing the working implements (11) in the working position as overload safety devices for the working implements.
