PURPOSE:To make variable the measuring time of the respective items of reaction materials in a multi-item flow cell by operating the intermittently moving mechanism, which is made coactive with a motor for driving multi-item flow cells, separately of a driving motor. CONSTITUTION:At one side of an attachment plate 2, there is mounted a rotary solenoid 23, to which shaft a pawl 24 is fixed in a manner to engage with a ratchet 10. The solenoid 23 is equipped with a mechanism, which is operative to effect the rotational return in the counter-clockwise direction. When the signals from the output are fed to the solenoid 23, this solenoid 23 is turned clockwise by a preset angle thereby to disengage the pawl 24 from the teeth of the ratchet 10. If, on the other hand, the input signals disappear, automatic return in the counter-clockwise direction is effected by the built-in mechanism to bring the pawl 24 and the teeth of the ratchet 10 into engagement. Thus, the measuring time can be desirably varied in accordance with the duration of the signals fed to the solenoid. |
