<p>When articles, for example bags of fodder for experimental animals, are to be transferred from one room to another with no risk of contamination, a flooded tubular container is inserted in the wall between the two rooms. The two ends are closed by doors or blind flanges. A circulating pump can pump a sterilising medium in a closed circuit from a storage tank into the container after the bag of fodder has been inserted. A vent is arranged at the highes point of the circulating system. This ensures that even contaminated air bubbles adhering to the bag are washed off and that the fodder is transferred without risk of infection.</p> |
