PURPOSE:To dispense with a reset switch by controlling the connection of a semiconductor reset terminal with the use of a cam which is made responsive to the rotations of a rear cover when a battery is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A battery 2 to be replaced is inserted into a battery accommodating recess 1, and a rear cover 3 is mounted and slightly turned. A contact 6 is moved through a coactively rotatable cam 5 to connect a battery power source with a reset terminal so that the semiconductor of the watch circuit is reset under an initial condition in response to the resetting signals. Moreover, the cam 5 is turned together with the rear cover 3 to disconnect the contact 6 so that the watch is brought into its normal condition. As a result, the resetting switch can be dispensed with so that the erroneous operation of the watch as a result that the resetting switch has been forgotten to be operated can be prevented upon the replacement of the watch. |
