PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that can retreat all recording materials being conveyed in an image forming apparatus even when restriction is provided at a position to stop the recording materials so that automatic purge can be performed later.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 110 comprises a first determination part 320, a second determination part 330, and a stop control part 340. When abnormality is detected in conveyance of recording materials, the first determination part 320 determines if there is a recording material that cannot stop at a predetermined position determined to avoid a place causing deformation to recording materials, from among recording materials being conveyed in the image forming apparatus 110. When there is a recording material that cannot stop at the predetermined position in the image forming apparatus 110, the second determination part 330 determines if there is a post-processing device that can stop the recording material. When there is a post-processing device that can stop the recording material, the stop control part 340 ejects the recording material to the post-processing device to stop the recording material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
