1535836 Orientating articles GD SpA 27 Jan 1976 [7 March 1975] 03005/76 Heading B8A Apparatus for feeding a wrapping machine (not shown) with articles, such as chocolates, arranged in succession and lengthwise with respect to the direction of movement, comprises a disc 1 to which the articles P are fed in bulk from a belt conveyer 4, the disc 1 being rotatable in the direction of the arrow f, and above the disc 1 are located fixed guides 8-10 which, together with the disc 1, define a curved path for the articles which are discharged from the disc 1 in succession on to an endless conveyer 13 which leads to the wrapping machine, and articles P which are not oriented lengthwise when leaving the periphery of the disc 1 engage the belt 13 which is moving faster than the disc 1 so that they rotate clockwise, such rotation being completed on the belt 13 which is inclined downwardly towards a fixed side guard board 15 by means of devices 16, 17. |
