The exchange (1) has parallel operating positions with call indication and position circuit. There is a transmission device and an answering network, through which transmission devices, connected to a centrally controlled connecting device, are connected to the operating position in the incoming and outgoing direction. An allotting device is allocated to the networks (ABL). It controls an input plane of an allotting diode matrix, so that calling signals transmitted through it are displayed only at the operating positions, which has received the allocation.
