A pump delivers fuel from a tank through a spring loaded buffer cylinder and a filter to a metering valve. The valve has a piston moved by a lever from an air flow measuring plate in the engine suction upstream of the throttle. The lever moves the piston against a return force provided by the fuel. This fuel comes from the main supply through a brance within the valve with a decoupling throttle. The return from this branch to the tank has a second spring loaded buffer cylinder connected to it. It reaches the tank through a sensitive valve.
