<p>The economiser is fitted to the air intake of the carburetter before the throttle valve. The economiser is inserted between the carburettor flange and the air duct flange. It is manufactured from steel perforated plate. The plate is shaped into a trimcated cone with a flange at the greater diameter. There are also two flat plates which go across the centre of the cone. The two plates do not quite meet in the centre, so that there is a passage through the centre of the cone. The plates are inclined in opposite senses at 20 to 50 deg. to the axis of the cone.</p> |
